Nothing kicks off a cookout like some small bites and to get your future party started right, they’re ideal for paying back a lot of hosts for including you in future social events! Indeed, throwing a cocktail party can be easy and fun but when you are in a hurry, appetizers should be just as quick and easy to make as they are to eat. Thus, whether you’re having people over for a dinner party, or you need something to take to a potluck, a quick and easy appetizer recipes ensure you spend more time mingling than cooking. This is why, I’ve partnered up with Migros through their Sélection food products to suggest you 3 easy tips to make your last minute aperitifs a dazzling success.
This said, for a quick made appetizer menu: (1) you can never go wrong with bruschetta! Indeed, you can add some juicy red and yellow grape tomatoes and only a bit of garlic, oil, balsamic and basil before spooning them onto grilled baguette slices. Plus, to vary the choices of your bruschetta, you can go for an optional selected cheese, then toss 1/2 zucchini and olive oil together with some sun dried tomato slices – it’s a delicious combination. (2) Have you ever thought about making some warm spiced cashews ? Then think twice, they are perfect to whip-up as a quick make-ahead, crowd-pleasing appetizer. With some simple cashews, you can brown them in a frying pan for 2 minutes, then add some chinese five-spice powder, it lends a distinct toastiness to any sweet and savory nuts. Another alternative is to combine these spicy cashews with Popcorn, and for a more kid-friendly version, omit the ground red pepper. They will be an irresistible snack with a glass of wine! I’d also suggest to try on another way to spice up your popcorn bowl: simply pop the kernels and then sprinkle them with grated parmesan, dried oregano, chopped sun-dried tomatoes, red-pepper flakes and garlic powder. (3) Finally, give a try on Banderillas, they are most commonly served, as they are cheap, easy, and quick to make. They make for a colorful, pantry-friendly appetizer you can vary according to your guests’ tastes. You can use any combination of pickles, cocktail onions, olives, anchovies, tuna, artichoke hearts or pepperoncini. Another alternative but this time sweet and salt, would be the grapes and cheese. All you need to make them is, your favorite brie, grapes and a fun toothpick. Just cut your brie into little wedges and assemble. Then, just set them out on a cute tray.
As you understood, when you need an appetizer in a hurry, no need to stress out, you can still transform storebought items into impressive party foods by incorporating a few unexpected additions like some spicy ingredients, a quick olive sauté or sliced persimmons. The last point and last touch would simply be to create a playlist that suits your party’s style and just have fun!
